 US Assistant Secretary of State for Security Affairs, Erick Porail, who arrived in Khartoum last Saturday met with the Undersecretary to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Dr. Mutrif Siddig. The American Diplomat will meet with security and police senior officials. 


  Sources reported that the visit comes in line with Washington arrangements to shift its embassy premises to East Soba of Khartoum, at the end of this year.


 US Charge d’Affaires to Sudan Alberto Fernandez, stated that Erick visit is not related to bilateral relations talks, nor did it associate with Scott Gration or John Kerry recent visits to Sudan.

The Government of Sudan has introduced measures that seek to revitalize and strengthen the delivery of humanitarian services in Darfur.

Khartoum, April 24 (SUNA)- The Commissioner for Humanitarian Aid, Hassabou Mohamed has reaffirmed the stability of the humanitarian situation in Darfur states , adding in a statement to the Sudan News Agency that all indices progress as planned and forecast.

He said there are currently some 120 health cadres operating in the field along with 60 cadres from he Arab countries working within the efforts deployed to improve the health situation in the region. Hassabou has met within the same context with a delegation from the Qatari charity works organization headed by Mohamed Al Mirikhi its chairman.

The delegation was debriefed on the urgent needs in the domains of water, health, voluntary return and the rehabilitation of the villages in the region. MA/MA

Khartoum, April 23 (SUNA) - The Burkina Faso-based Islamic Solidarity Union has called for the cancellation of the decision of the so-called International Criminal Court (ICC) against Sudan to avail opportunity for strengthening the process of peace and stability in the region.

The Union in a message it sent Thursday to the President of the Republic, Field Marshal Omer Al-Bashir expressed solidarity with the Sudanese people, explaining that peace could be achieved by good governance and not by the unjust decisions of the ICC.

The statement said the ICC has turned a deaf ear to the complications of the disputes in the African continent and violated the international law, the message read. The message lauded the pioneering role played by the President of the Republic against colonialism, international Zionism, the puppet courts and the politically motivated- justice. IF/MA
