Masrata, Libya, May 28 (SUNA) - President of the Republic, Field Marshal Omer Al-Bashir, and the Libyan Leader, Mammar l-Qaddafi, Thursday evening held a closed-door meeting at Sabrata city in Libya.

SUNA learned that the two leaders discussed progress of the bilateral relations, horizons of cooperation between Khartoum and Tripoli and issues of concern to the Sahel and Sahara Grouping (Sen - Sad).

Khartoum, May 28 (SUNA) - A framework agreement for extending 68 million dollars as support for the elections was signed Thursday between the National Elections Commission (NEC) and the Untied Nations Development Programme (UNDP).

The agreement was signed by NEC Chairman, Abel Alier, and the State Minister at the Ministry of International Cooperation, Prof. Ilias Wilson, on behalf of the Government of Sudan, and the Country Director of the UN Development Programme for Sudan, The agreement deals with providing 68 million dollars, 10 million dollars out of which were previously paid, as support to the coming elections process.
