The President of the Republic, Omar Al Bashir, said that the government is ready to negotiate with any Darfur movement that will decide to join Doha forum.

He further rejected the condition set by the Justice and Equality Movement (JEM) requesting all Darfuri movements to unite under its leadership before the official start of peace negotiations. The statements came during the launch of Al Bashir’s electoral campaign in Niyala, South Darfur on Monday. During the ceremony, President Bashir pledged to extend a road linking between Niyala-Gareida-Buram and Al Radoum.
