Speaking to Radio Miraya the researcher on Sudan's cultures and tourism, Farid Ahmed, said that the choice is based on Sudan's unique cultural, ethnic diversity and rich tourism like ancient civilization and wildlife.
The organization listed Northern Sudan as one of the areas where five species of animals are threatened to be extinct
