Khartoum, Jan.4 (SUNA) - President of the Republic, Field Marshal Omer Al-Bashir, has affirmed Sudan support to realization of peace in South Sudan State, referring to firmness of relations between the two countries .
This came when President Al-Bashir received Monday at the Republican Palace the visiting Foreign Minister of the Republic of South Sudan, Barnaba Benjamin, and the accompanying delegation, in presence of the Foreign Minister, Prof . Ibrahim Ghandour.
Prof . Ghandour said in a press statement following the meeting that the South Sudan official has briefed President Al-Bashir on the peace efforts in his country and conveyed to him a verbal message from the President of South Sudan State, Salva Kiir.
The Foreign Minister indicated that President Al-Bashir affirmed the distinguished relations between the peoples of the two countries and expressed Sudan desire to work for prevalence of stability in South Sudan State.
Ghandour said that President Al-Bashir has stressed the importance of holding meetings of the joint security committee and appreciated the relations between the Foreign Ministries in the two countries .
Meanwhile, the South Sudanese official has affirmed the importance of relations between the two countries, completion of the demarcation of the joint border and implementation of the joint cooperation Agreement whch was signed in 2012 .
